  5. FABULOUS INSERTIONS ELISE & JOHN! Did you enjoy doing it together? PMSL

And John spotted I posted the hello message before midnight. Duh!

I wonder if I can hide the time on my posts???

Bev, I haven't been up all night. I was doing some 'premature e-salutations' lol

Chris? Good luck with a new photbucket account, and in setting up a photo album.

Don't forget though, you don't even need one of those accounts to create an album on this site.

I'm away for an Onco appointment later today. Only good news will do!! I'll let y'all know.

  6. Another great joke from MARGARET & BRIAN IN REDCAR:

    Subject: What Is A 710?

A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred- ten.

We all looked at each other and another customer asked, 'What is a seven-hundred- ten?'
She replied, 'You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one..'

She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there.

The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like..

She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to a car just like hers which had its hood up and asked 'is there a 710 on this car?'.

She pointed and said, 'Of course, its right there.' the mechanic fainted

If you're not sure what a 710 is

    Scroll down

I just couldn't resist forwarding this one on...one of the best blond jokes EVER!

  12. John xx You can resize in PB editor....just hover over the image, and it will bring up a line of edit options. Click on resize, and work away xx I am bare below the elbow every day at work !! xx

    ReplyDelete
  13. John?.....Just a quick note about editing before I bugger off.

Trouble with re-sizing in Photobucket is that IF THE PIC IS OF TINY RESOLUTION to begin with, all you will get is a an awful blurry image when you increase the size using the Photobucket editor.

I loved your Hopital Rule notice and tried to resize in PB....horrible, because the original resolution was on'y 72,

I always use XnView ( a free program)...in that program you can increase the resolution, which I did (to 300).

Because the image is very small,, it ain't perfect...but this is better than the PB result:

  18. Will John ever stop inserting for Elise?

Will Elise keep the Husky Duck voice?

Will Chris tear his hair out?

Will mike find a supply of yellow snow shovels before the snow arrives in 2 weeks time?

Will Bev allow us into her playroom?

    Questions Questions Questions...

OK, I had the oncology appointment today...so here goes:

The news was good good good.

He's happy and so am I.

Lung nodules have decreased back to the size they were in January, (and meds aren't responsible) - so Ian and the team are convinced it's been respiratory infection damage.

Scans have shown once again...no lymph node mets and no bone mets.

PSA is down to 0.91, and we both think that, all in all, it's an incredible (and LUCKY) situation after 6 and a half years fighting a T4.
I might stay on the Casodex 150 for another 4 months before taking another 'holiday'...IF my luck holds.

    ReplyDelete
  26. OH FFS! Elise, I am so damn angry that it seems we have 10% of PCa Oncologists who are totally excellent - but 90% who couldn't give a shit!!
Why is there such a discrepancy in this country??????????

Hey Rob? Yes, like you, I do I have to get on left leg first.............my right leg is crocked these days!...What's your excuse?

A youngster like you should be able to leap on with two legs outstretched!! : )~

  27. Here it is in a nutshell >:(

1] Onco saying its NERVE pain from [possibly] crumbling L2/3 [we went down this road a year ago, and nothing was resolved, nerve block failed spectacularly, no follow up then]
2] Onco to confer AGAIN with radiologist
3] Mets evident in vertebrae, but no SCC according to Onco
4] PSA creeping up from 3.8 to todays level of 4.1
5] ALP shot up from 130 to todays reading of 270 [and its not mets according to Onco....... :o]
6] Recommends Amitryptiline and Gabapentin and wait for appointment AGAIN.
7] Does anyone want to check my blood pressure at the moment?
8] Can anyone calm me down in the face of what is happening here?
9] Oh yes, and NO RT.....
10] Surely, Bisphosphonates for 18+ months at this stage would have had SOME effect on the so called 'crumbling' vertebrae ????? Held it in check ? Prevented further degeneration?

    Grrrrrrrrrrr >:(

ALL answers/thoughts very much appreciated here Guys

    A slightly upset
    Elise :'(

  29. Firstly let me say A BIG WELL DONE GEORGE.
secondly, Elise I am so sorry that you have to go through this again with your Dad, I suppose at his time of life he wouldn't think of moving to where a better onco is ? (assuming he is well enough to do it of course) Or failing that, is he well enough to travel to a better onco ?

To calm you down a bit have another look at my email !!
Going back to dad, is his calcium intake sufficient ?

Sorry I can't be of any better help than that, but I will have him added to our Prayer list.

    Chris xx

  30. Hi Elise...thats a big increase in ALP levels.....& needs to be explained properly by Onco if indeed its not the mets.!!!!.....although psa increase is not too significant at this stage,i am flabagasted Zometa was not added as a matter of course ages ago......again different standards prevail in the NHS....
New drugs may be welcome, especially pain control (if administered properly)but its all to do with confidence too....confidence in your Dads Onco, that he/she is doing their very best for dad.......Perhaps a second opinion is needed, although accept there may be opposition to it from Dad......Hard i know but please try to calm down a bit, take some deep breaths, & then focus your plan of action....
Thinking of you as always xx
