  4. You guessed right, Elise. It was the Sunderland players' dressing room - BEFORE the match, judging by the final result, lol.

  7. George! May I be among the first to comment on the fantastic Black Cats performance against Chelski (Pensioners) today.
Everyone of your players was magnificent. You must have taken a lot of stick for your teams performance against the Black & White Geordies. Well you can hold your head up high tonight.... Well done SUNDERLAND F.C.!
I would also mention the Arse chewed the Toffees earlier today..... only 2 points behind now!
    "Up the Arse!"

  10. Sorry Elise! Should explain Sunderland F.C. are nicknamed the Black Cats, Chelsea F.C. are also known as Chelski because they are Russian owned and were also known as the Pensioners . The black & white Geordies are Newcastle United F.C.
The Arse are my team....Arsenal being one ot the top teams in North London the other one being Arsenal reserves. The Toffees are Everton
F.C. whom we beat on Sun 1-2. This leaves us 2nd in the league 2 points behind Chelsea. Hope this makes things clearer for you!
Oh! and Stavros is the character portrayed by Harry Enfield on T,V, as a Cypriot Arsenal fan who`s catch phrase is "Up the Arse!"
George referred to me being McStavros because I`m a Scot Arsenal fan.. Cheers Alex.

  11. Football fans are very serious and loyal to their team. A new shopping centre recently opened in Liverpool......It was named Liverpool One!
Everton opened a new Sports Superstore and named it EVERTON TWO . So that all their mail was addressed to EVERTON TWO
LIVERPOOL ONE..... That`s how serious it is!!!!!

  17. Hi Alex,
Must admit, didn't think that was coming from Spurs.....Now, can't say I'm a big supporter, but always look out for them first when Saturdays results come in..Have done since a boy when Jimmy Greaves played for them.....I prefer local football, where I live in Eastbourne,& follow 'The Sports',at all home games, where they play in the Conference league,& go to some away games too....My brother (arsenal supporter),went up yesterday to Kidderminster to watch a 2-1 defeat,by the Harriers....Its a good little club owned by the community (no rich pretender here,& we are still part time...
All the best, for the rest of the season,
    John

  18. Hi John, Glad to hear you`re a footie fan. I was originally a Glasgow Rangers fan (Still am for 70 Years) When I moved South in 1955
I went to Highbury and been an Arsenal fan ever since (55 years) In the late 70s I became disgusted with all the Yobbos that attached themselves to the professional game and like you started going to Non League where I found the atmosphere more convivial and could enjoy a drink in the bar after a game with the player`s and my wife and I started going to watch our local team Billericay Town in the Ryman League.
We went to matches Home and Away from1970 until we moved to Lincolnshire 24 years ago. WE are now TV footie fans but I`m
still a staunch Rangers and Arsenal fan and always will be. I see Billericay lost 4-2 to Sutton Utd yesterday in the 3rd round of the
F.A. Trophy......Maybe Eastbourne can win it???? Cheeeeers, Alex

  19. Elise Thanks for you kind COMMISERATIONS!.... I am not too upset because it`s only a game after all! and if you lose for the first time in
17 years to Spurs then how bad is that? It`s them that should be worried! How come they can`t beat Arsenal for 17 years at the
Arsenal.....ANSWER:" Because they have n`t been good enough!!!!"
Hope all is well with you and don`t drop that bottle of Whisky!!
    Love Alex & Pat xx
