Thursday: Ship on the Tyne!

After our disastrous outing on Tuesday...when we couldn't see the Tall Ships for the rain............

Look what sailed into The Tyne today!

The WESTERDAM
(Packed with 2000 passengers, mostly Yanks)

Now that's what I call a ship!

  3. Hey George, I am pretty sure that was the Lady berthed at Cobh [formerly Queenstown - Co Cork - last port of call for Titanic in the day] about a week or so ago. If I can find the press coverage I will paste on here too ! What a beauty, I'd love a holiday on her ! Nice pics BTW ! x

  4. Wot a beauty George !! I know the tall ships are grand in there own way but this is so well designed as to be rather handsome. Tell me 'G' did they let those Yanks and their wallets off the ship or did the Toon elf & safty advise the passenger of the dangers of Northern hospitality.
Phil I think funnels are there if you don't want smoking in all areas
