'bah humbug'
Evening All....Awww, nice to think I will be missed John, but I dare say George & Phil are looking forward to a break from me !! Mmmmm, the old argument again between Men & Women. We have a rule in my house - MARS & VENUS - something which I cannot explain to Hubby, or he cannot get me to understand we say Mars & Venus...it stops all arguing there and then....he hates this rule but it works for me ! xx
Thing is Phil, my gleason is 9 & T4,so aggresive,& Rob on the other forum, said if psa soared after given up Zoly,it might be hard to get it back down......All things considered my opinion is 'go for it'.....I've discussed it, & so excited that i may get back my life pre diagnosis that i'm going for it........Wish me luck!!
With you all the way John,,been a 10 year Pca journey so far for me with lots of twists and turns,,and my motto throughout has always been,,"It's not written in stone!"

Phil.....Don't tell George, but he is the person i look up to......His own pca journey has inspired me, & i feel with a good diet, exercise,& positive thinking,(many laughs as poss),then that will help me beat it or at least keep it at bay for many years (here's hoping).. My profile on the other forum is under 'SHERBERT'.....Cheers
John, Phil has had a lot of experience of Zoly and maybe we'd agree that staying on it too long isn't a good idea. My personal opinion is that WE know our bodies better than the doctors do,
I knew when the ADT was harming rather than helping me. After a few years of treatment, only scans can tell us for definite what the state of play is.
I'm sure you made the right decision in having the latest jab. Better safe than sorry. Your next PSA result should help make your mind up. My own oncologist now says he's pleased I quit the Zoly at 2 years because he feels sure I could go back onto it at a later date and it would still be effective for me.
Have to laugh at "good diet, exercise,& positive thinking,(many laughs as poss)".
EXERCISE?
ME????????
LMAO.
I DID go to the gym 3 times a week during my 2nd year on treatment...but I found it was completely exhausting me, so it went on my list of 'Banned Pastimes'. I think my body needed energy to fight cancer cells, and the gym work was depriving it of that energy. (That's my excuse, anyway!).
All the best, and here's to the next 10 years of causing mischief together here!
That list needs careful concentration, and very good eyesight.
ReplyDeleteJohn sent us the perfect online eye-test.
