SUNDAY COCK A DOODLE DOOOOOOOOO

Good Mooning All

Hey, don't we some very strange birds around these days?
Have you ever heard of a duck that doesn't quack, and instead staggers round in circles yelling "Cock a doodle do begorrah, so it is, so it is"??
I fell out of bed in shock after hearing it in my garden yesterday morning.
I was so stunned that I ran outside in my long johns to take a photo.

Lord spare us all from crazed Irish ducks, lost and bewildered in a foreign country after a wild hen night!

  5. My Grandfather was ROBERT SCRIMGEOUR McNEIL STEEDMAN.......a fine Scottish name. The SCRIMGEOUR family in Scotland have always been the Royal Standard bearers. Technically speaking, I am the eldest in my generation in the family, therefore, eligable to wield the Standard in official ceremonies.........top that Mr Hardy......Oh, and you forgot to add Ma'am..... !

  6. Oh dear, Elise, I really must apologise.

As a long time sufferer of drunken Scots while I was doing summer seasons, I know there is a huge difference between the Edinburgh and Glasgow accents.

Those from Edinburgh have a much nicer, softer accent....

But the Glaswegians are MUCH MUCH FUNNIER!! lol

I guess I love the shipyard humour....same as here on Tyneside.

By the way! My Glaswegian accent is n`t HARD!!!!!!!......neither is anything else for that matter!... but then I`m 75.

George also has a claim to fame. When we arrived at the Mill on the Soar......There was a sign saying..."Welcome to this Hardy`s House!"
and when I got to my room and switched on the Telly there was an advert on for "Hardy`s Table Wines!"...... He must be loaded!!!!
It`s no wonder we`re booked in for next year......Keep it in the family it would seem!
