Morning all,
John, pleased about your up-date, chemo isn't pleasant, so avoid if you can !! Good luck with Ulcer treatment, hope Oestrogen treatment works.
Its my calender that says about Human Rights day, so I thought of Terry, if he is still there !!!!
In the news today it said about Aspirin for cancer, does anyone know of someone who has been on the trial ??
Enjoy your day good people, Probably tomorrow will be "HUMP" day if the budget is no use to us........
Morning Chris xx
ReplyDeleteyes, good news for John xx
Terry is in South Africa at the moment, here is his blog if you want to catch up with the 'jet setter' and his wife xx

He has also been in the spot light .... hope he talks to us mere mortals when he returns to OZ again !
Quote from Terry ..... "Fame at last:-) The talk went well. I was invited to say a few words. I told the convenor that was not possible, and talked for an hour:-) " ...
Aspirin Trials :- I don't know of anyone who has taken part in these Chris, however, I did post a new thread on this topic, could have been last year sometime. It seems that aspirin has been found to restrict growth of tumours, in particular, the tumor from branching and spreading, by reducing the blood supply [as far as I understand the research so far] .... interesting stuff eh ?
I saw GP again yesterday - signed off until mid April, probably wont return to work until end of April, still not certain, but GP not happy still. From what I hear from the other Nurses, its a bit like Hell there at the moment, so I am in no rush to return !
keep well people
xx
There was a good piece in the "Aspirin Wars" some while back on The New Prostte Cancer Infolink at http://prostatecancerinfolink.net/2010/08/16/the-aspirin-wars-definite-risk-and-potential-benefit/ If you put aspirin into their site search enine you'll find a lot of contradictory studies!! So what else is new?
ReplyDeleteMorning all:-)....
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris.....with an ulcer, the pumping of strong steroids, prior to chemo, may aggrievate it too much......... but anyway, thought there were other treatments first,& new Onco agreed...

My very first Prostap injection was booked for 11am tomorrow at South Shields.
Yesterday my MRI appointment arrived.....for the same day (and a morning too), up in Newcastle,
Finally I have it sorted, but it did take repeated phone calls.
