'The Jord' is somewhat under the weather today
So I'm glad our friend Bill in Thailand sent me an early clip (1965) of Willie Nelson, a fabulous singer
I've found a more recent one, which has really cheered me up.
It doesn't matter that we're racing into mischievous old age and feeling like crap, does it?
If it's good enough for Willie, it's good enough for me, lol
Videos coming up in next box

ReplyDeleteAND NOW:

ReplyDeleteHi George,
ReplyDeleteSorry George but I'm more interested in Elise's promised chest massage than you feeling crap or your posting.
Can I join you on the meet up with her?
Mike - you're not invited! You old perv, LMAO
ReplyDeleteBig day for me tomorrow, Elise? Not my birthday for a while yet.
Did you mean my Seven Year itch (ooops, I mean my 7 yrs anniversary of meeting the PCa Monster) ?
Yep, it's a bit of a landmark date innit?
George xx Yes xx Your PCa Anniversary - Lil' Duck has a memory like an Elephant [unfortunately !] XXX
ReplyDeleteMike xx You can give me a chest massage anytime ! George keeps promising but never delivers ... LMAO ! xx
Elise, you might have a memory like an elephant, but if you walk like a chick, cheep like a chick.....you ARE our favourite chick!
ReplyDeleteHey, I was driving on the coast road in South Shields an hour ago and spotted this van.
ReplyDeleteNever has my flabber been so gasted.
When I got home I had to check online to make sure this wasn't a joke...
It wasn't!!
FFS! I know we love our animals in Geordieland, but I never dreamt that some of us go to such lengths as these to ensure a happy retirement for our North Sea dolphins!
errrr.....Thanks George xx But I thought I was a DUCK ?!
ReplyDeleteQuack Quack xx
Seems Hitler was right about the Geordies - who'da thought of using a bleeding DOLPHIN to advertise a stairlift????? When did dolphin start using those??
ReplyDeleteTalking of anniversaries, George - can you recall how long you THOUGHT you had seven years ago???? Bet it wasn't seven years, was it? I reckon you're still way ahead of the game, so keep on keeing on.
Congrats George on your 7th anniversary......Here's to many many more..
ReplyDeleteWell done George.
ReplyDeleteMy diagnosis was Dec 2005 so not far behind you.
And mine was July 2005.
ReplyDeleteWell done George and Chris, a fateful year for us 2005!
But so many good, new friends made whilst on this journey.
Thank you everyone for the kind comments.
ReplyDeleteTerry is exactly right about my thoughts seven years ago. I was told I might only have two decent years left - but if extremely lucky, I might linger on for five.
My urologist was the most miserable, doom-mongering, demoralising doctor I've ever had the misfortune to meet.
I shudder to think how many men, particularly older and frailer men, were given the same 'encouraging news' on diagnosis of PCa.
A lot might have simply went home and given up. If I'd been older, I might have done just that.
Mike and Chris? 2005 saw a lot of us join the PCa gang.
We've had a long journey together, and yes....we've made some GREAT friendships.
Good luck with your planned treatment John, get rid of that ulcer, and keep us smiling with your posts for many more years to come.
