I saw that on the local news this morning Chris.....400 acres of vines being planted....first bottle expected in 2 years...hic.!.........Alfriston is an 'Olde Worlde' village,on the South Downs Way,& special to us to....we married there in 1998,& had my 50th there,both at Deans Place..
ReplyDeleteIt was a good article on National, BBC1 this morning, so your local news probably had more details. I've been there several times in the 50's and 60's, when I used to visit my Aunt who lived at Eastbourne.

Chris, surprisingly, we have one of the largest vineyards in the UK here in the Midlands.
The 'Halfpenny Green Vineyard' is about 7 miles from me.
The wine is OK and well worth a visit if in the area.

ReplyDeleteWell, sunshine AGAIN in The Rebel County. No Vineyards here, but, I do have a Grape Vine growing. Never produced any Grapes yet, hopefully this year, will let you know.
I am feeling a bit better today, and can only put it down to good old fashioned sunshine. Long may it continue ! xx
