  1. Yes, Happy St Andrews and I'm happy that things have slowed down for you now Elise and you can try and get your head around all this. I can't imagine a Dad that could be more proud of his daughter than yours. Best wishes and love always, Dan xxx

  9. Hi Elise, HAPPY ST ANDREWS DAY to you too,
It was a lovely day to send off your beloved Dad, the weather could not have been better for you all. I too am so pleased that I took the photos, which have turned out good (as far as "snap shots" go) - we both thought it would be a record of such a special day for your family to look back on. I hoped it was not an intrusion on the happenings at a funeral, and hope it didn't offend anyone. The occasion was, to us, a celebration of Ian's life, and although we didn't know him personally, only met him at Leicester briefly, I'm sure he was a great personality, great fun, and I would have loved to know him better. (I have always been interested and indeed involved with aircraft one way or another.) I will be delivering Chris to Luton airport to catch his bus (he is into buses!!) for the meeting in London. Sorry I won't be there, (another appointment) but my thoughts and prayers will be with you all. Chris will be bringing with him the photo prints for Elsie. Hope George and Lynn will be able to get down, and I shall miss seeing them. Isn't it wonderful that there is such a support group for those who desperately need a lift up. We must keep "the word" going out to men.
Anyway, it was wonderful to get to know you and Elsie better, we can picture faces and personalities now!
Keep up the cake making, it is very therapeutic to see all your creations.... Good for the soul.
Keep laughing, our love to you and the family

I'm so glad everything went so well yesterday, Elise. I've seen some really nice photos of you and the kids(thanks for that Chris).
You all looked terrific, and did your dad proud.

Chris and Mike kept me bang up to speed, and both wanted to send me a copy of the service.
I told Mike Chris had beaten him to it, and the envelope was already winging its way North (THANKS AGAIN CHRIS...it arrived safely about an hour ago).

Here's to St. Andrew's Day..............Get yerselves 'STOTTIN' down there in Oxford, and send us a disc of your mom singing raucous Scots anthems!! lol
