Wednesday: Hello

G'd Morning All,

No news - is good news I hope.

Soon after my last post here yesterday I had a call from Hilary asking me if I could get down to Middlesborough...of course I could - nothing would stop me.

I spent five hours with Phil and her atJames Cook Hospital.

The Capn is fighting like mad to overcome this latest setback. Although he was 'out of it' most of the afternoon, he was alert and gave me a big wave as I said 'bye for now at 5pm.

His condition remained the same at 9pm last night, and as I say...no news today - yet.

I passed on all your good wishes and prayers and I know it means a lot to him and to Hilary.

His daughters Sherri and Gemma were set to leave the USA at 1am this morning after cutting their holiday short to be with their dad.

It will take a lot to beat our Phil!

Onwards and upwards Capn!

  9. Thank you all for your messages. I will make certain that Hilary gets them all, so that they are passed onto Phil. Talk about a Roller Coaster ride for the last 24 hours ! I really did not want to answer George's call to me earlier, as I didn't want to hear any bad news. I just cannot tell you how happy George was on the phone. I now feel like I can breathe again now, and, will be giving out to Big Guy for turning me grey overnight ! Will update again if and when I hear anything more xx Chris xx couldn't agree more xx Big Guy is most definitely missed on here, and we all cannot wait for him to be back with us all. xx
