Goodbye To Phil

Today we say our goodbyes to Phil.

We miss you Big Guy xx
And just wish we never had to lose you xx

Bon Voyage Captain. Keep them all smiling in heaven and enjoy the Malts xx

We will always remember you xx

Life is not a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely,
in a pretty well preserved body,
with pockets full of money.
But rather to skid in sideways,
totally used up, totally worn out,
totally spent, loudly screaming.....…
WOW, what a ride

  6. You've said it for many of us who are lost for words Elise. I agree with the last statement and Phil would have loved that; "skidding in sideways"!

  7. I'll be leaving soon to say 'Farewell Phil'.
No tears, no regrets. Phil would not have like that at all.

I know there will be many smiles and and even loud laughter this morning and then later in the Ship Inn.
He'll be there among us, as large as life.

I'll always remember that just a few short months ago, he was 'tickled PINK!' with our latest Mr Brighton Marina spoof.
He liked it, in fact he 'liked it a lot! lol

In tribute to the most fun-loving guy we've known, here it is for the last time:

On behalf of Hilary, Sherri and Gemma, I pass on their sincere thanks for the incredible support you've all given them durung this last very difficult month.

  9. Well, I am bound to be one of the the first lads (and girls) to arrive home from the funeral.
Representing our site at the ceremony were Mike, Roger & Brenda, Chris & Shirley, and Lynn and myself.

It was a beautiful farewell service and a marvellous few hours in the pub afterwards, featuring a big screen on which was played a DVD of photographs put together by Sherry.

SPECTACULAR! Phil was real 'Sun God', lol.

I was right, there were many laughs, as befits the great joker he was.

Hilary and the girls have passed on to me their love and thanks to give to everyone here.
They really did appreciate all your kindness and support

All in all, the best send off he could have wished for, including his favourite music...Albatross, Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay, and Sailing.
A marvellous, sad, but happy occassion.

    Au revoir Phil.

    We'll be seeing ya!
