NHS

Just wondered if anyone knows anybody else who has returned to UK and the NHS has asked for proof of their right to free NHS ?

Had a letter today asking for proof of residency.

  1. Hi

It is common practice to ask for proof of residence to free NHS etc. I won't be able to do this until Monday when back at work but I will try and find you some info if it helps.

  2. Hi Chris. I can see why, but don't understand. I thought that it was a reciprocal EU agreement anyway. Surely if you hold a UK passport, there should not be a problem ? xx

  4. Thanks Guys,
I did expect it because in one of Age UK booklets it says about a 6 month wait before treatment !!!!

We are phoning person tomorrow morning before Shirl's doc visit.

  5. It depends on ordinary residence, whether someone had been back to the uk.

  6. All solved.
All she wants is a copy of Council Tax bill, copy of Pension Payment, copies of bank statements shewing pension payments and a copy of house purchase BECAUSE we are not on ANY of her records.
