A beautiful SUNNY day for most of us, it seems
After my trip down to Teesside yesterday
it struck me how 'refined' those ladies are in that part of the world, just 45 miles from Geordieland.
I am so used to 'macho' women that I'd forgotten what femininity & elegance was all about!
Here's your typical Geordie Lass on a good day:
Don't worry, lynn won't kill me for this....she ain't a Geordie! LMAO
Morning George xx Bloody LASHING DOWN HERE !!!! FFS ! 28.5 degrees in Oxford yesterday....grrrrrrrrrrr.......Lil' sick Duck is getting better, but will be ill again if my feathers don't dry out soon !!
ReplyDeleteThe Geordie women look a lot like the Rebel County beauties ! Especially the farmers wives ! xx
OMG. Poor Lil' Wet Duck.
ReplyDeleteIt's a sunny SIXTY NINE degrees here (YES!!!) and rising rapidly.
Would you like to fly over and romp starkers in my back garden paddling pool? LMAO
....be careful what you wish for George ...... !! xx
ReplyDeleteGeorge,
ReplyDeleteIs that invitation to romp starkers in your back garden paddling pool open to all???
Of course it is Mike ! xx
ReplyDeleteOH NOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT YOU MIKE!
ReplyDeleteLMAO
I take it you arrived home safely then? If you wondered WTF I was doing as you drove behind me for a few miles....my Sat Nav kept falling off the sodding window and landing on my knees! LOL
Now if only that had been a Lil' Duck landing there...........: )~
Behave George !!! Firstly, you want me naked, flapping around your pool, next, on your lap........Bolt of lightening from the sky please Big Guy xx Aimed at George ! ROFLMAO ! xx
ReplyDeletePlease don't ask Phil......he'll send out another 'Attack Wasp', lol
ReplyDeleteI got home OK George but a little later than expected.
ReplyDeleteM18 southbound was closed due to an accident so we were diverted off the motorway via Rotherham.
Chocker block!! No more than 5mph until I got to the M1
Home about 8.45pm !!
George xx You know that Big Guy always did what I asked ....... Keep your head down ! PMSL !
ReplyDeleteMike xx That was a long day for you . Glad you got back safe in the end xx
Morning all.........Can only say Geordie girls are something else......when a bunch of them worked in local hotels, when i was a young guy.....they certainly were an eye opener.......drank like a fish...fought with the guys & so bloody loud....some also settled here to.....Only people working now though are East Europeans in hotels......
ReplyDeleteHey Mike,......Brummie girls were nice........very hospitable.....
Warming up here to........Take it Chris & Shirley are all o.k...!!
As George savours his last coffin nail before tomorrow's deadline, he contemplates the return to a diet of bananas!

Hi all,
ReplyDeleteThought George might have put something on here about Phil's service !
Yes we arrived home safe and sound no holdups except Morrisons to buy tea, loo stop and Wetherby services to eat tea. Got home about 20.30. (it was still 20 C when we arrived home, and 24 C now))
Good to meet up with George, Lynn, Mike, Roger and Brenda again, and not forgetting Hilary, Sherri and Gemma, pity about the circumstances though.
Chris.
George !! PLEASE check your email in box....thanks dude xx
ReplyDeleteHi Chris and Shirley.
ReplyDeleteI did put something in about Phil's service, but it was added to the FOURTH TOPIC DOWN - 'GOODBYE TO PHIL'
There was quite a lot of posting there, including music , a funny reminder of Phil from me...and a great poem from Elise..... but it somehow ended up in the wrong order of date (ask Elise about that! lol)

Well, I am bound to be one of the the first lads (and girls) to arrive home from the funeral.
Representing our site at the ceremony were Mike, Roger & Brenda, Chris & Shirley, and Lynn and myself.
It was a beautiful farewell service and a marvellous few hours in the pub afterwards, featuring a big screen on which was played a DVD of photographs put together by Sherry.
SPECTACULAR! Phil was real 'Sun God', lol.
I was right, there were many laughs, as befits the great joker he was.
Hilary and the girls have passed on to me their love and thanks to give to everyone here.
They really did appreciate all your kindness and support
All in all, the best send off he could have wished for, including his favourite music...Albatross, Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay, and Sailing.
A marvellous, sad, but happy occassion.
Au revoir Phil.
We'll be seeing ya!
Thanks George, I didn't think you had let us down.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful collection on there. This old git will have to pay more attention to whats gone before !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris. xx
Chris xx I had been working on my little tribute to Big Guy for a few days. Unfortunately, I was under the impression that it would 'post' on the date....however, it slipped my blog into date order....thanks Multiply ! s George says, scroll down a few posts, and you will see the entire blog xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Elise, xxXX
