'I Can't Believe I'm Telling You This' (documentary)
Dear Friends,
You may remember that a number of our members on this site took part in a documentary called ‘I can’t believe I’m telling you this’ in 2007/2008. It is to be shown soon on The Community Channel on Sky, Virgin and Freeview
You’ll be able at last to put faces to a lot of regular posters here, a few of them now sadly gone from our midst.
Bill Bloom from the Media Trust has kindly passed on this information:
We're broadcasting the film on 17 August, and I obviously wanted to let you know.
This film is one of many we're broadcasting with the aim of informing people how important it is to spot the signs and symptoms of cancer early, and in turn how important it is to seek early diagnosis and treatment.

ReplyDeleteWould there be any chance of asking the folks who made this, if there was any chance of putting up on the net or someway of getting a copy over here? I have been toying with the idea of doing some public speaking on the subject of Pca and my own personal experience, where I live. I would like to see, possibly use, this material if available, to get that exact message across to a very 'macho' oriented male society here.

ReplyDeleteI could look into that for you. I'm not sure who now owns the rights to the programme, but I will email the producers who made the film and see what the chances are.
They're notoriously slow to respond, so give it a little time and I'll get answers.

I looked this morning too. Also a programme the following day about Breast Cancer.
