Bright start to the day here,,,am a little stiff this morning(Shaddup George)from painting still but Hilary is unimpressed and even suggested we "do"the kitchen!
my selective hearing kicked in however and I ignored the frightening idea!
George,I know you too have fallen foul of the "redecorating bug"that seems to be affecting the women in our area and have booked our weeks retreat on Holy Island to escape the madness,,although the Monks there have no dress sense I know we will have no bother slipping in to "Bad habits!"LOL
Enjoy your Friday Peeps
Cheers
Subject: The Old Arab ......
An Arabic family was considering putting
their grandfather (Abdullah) in a nursing
home. All the Arabic facilities were
completely full so they had to put him in
an Italian home.
After a few weeks in the Italian facility,
they came to visit Grandpa. 'How do you
like it here?' asks the grandson.
'It's wonderful! Everyone here is so
courteous and respectful' says grandpa.
'We're so happy for you. We were worried
that this was the wrong place for you. You
know, since you are a little different from
everyone".
''Oh, no! Let me tell you about how
wonderfully they treat the residents", Abdulla
says with a big smile. 'There's a musician
here-- he's 85 years old. He hasn't played the
violin in 20 years and everyone still calls him
'Maestro'!
' There is a judge in here -- he's 95 y ears old.
He hasn't been on the bench in 30 years and
everyone still calls him 'Your Honor'!
''There's a dentist here - 90 years old. He
hasn't fixed a tooth for 25 years and everyone
still calls him Doctor?!
'And me -- I haven't had sex for 35 years and
they still call me 'The F***ing Arab'."
FRIDAY STIFF???? LOL
ReplyDeleteMe too Phil. And for all the wrong reasons.
Loved the Arab joke, pmsl here.
Just a quickie today because after spending hours taking Khan for his vet appointment I now have to bugger off to a doctor's appointment. Oh, the joy of it all!!
If you provide that coach for the Phillipines I reckon every one of us will go to Don's party!
As for spending time with the Monks of Lindisfarne? Sounds bliss...ONLY if they have young nuns in the community too now! : )~
By the way, have you ever tasted Lindisfarne mead? Now that IS a STIFF one! lol
