Good morning/afternoon/evening [delete as appropriate] to my fellow Bollockteers
I've declared today, Tuneful Thursday, after going through my CD collection and coming across this beauty of a track. The film it came from was probably one of the best Spaghetti Westerns ever made (although others may disagree).
Which still brings me out in goose bumps listening to it.
Now a track I can listen to many times over, simply because of the lyrics and the sentiment of it.
If he's right and you should get one day a year which makes the other 364 worthwhile, I must be in arrears by at least 10 years!

Given the choice...

Good morning James.
ReplyDeleteYou won't hear much from our leader until lunch time !!!
I like the last photo, I frequently have a lap-cat when I'm on puter in the afternoon or late evening.
WOW! What a nice pair of puppies!! lol
ReplyDeleteCaught you out there Chris....I'm up and about - NOT hiding under the duvet!
James, EXCELLENT choice of music today. There are a lot of music lovers on this site and from time to time we go through phases of posting music vids. It truly shows my age when I post something like House Of The Rising Sun by my fellow Geordies, The Animals.
You might have kick-started us into action again!
Morning George, didn't know that "The Animals" came from geordie land.
ReplyDeleteI shall have to wait until I'm upstairs on my puter to listen to music, Shirl's lap-top sounds so tinny even with headphones, mind you, my hearing being what it is, I could do with good loudspeakers insted of headphones very close to the ears!!
( I wonder if I can rig my matched pair of KEF speakers up to the puter)
Oh yep, Chris...The Animals were all Tyneside lads.
ReplyDeleteIn fact the keyboard player (Alan Price) is from Jarrow.
I met him a few times in my band days and he was a miserable twot!
Amazingly enough, his cousin is one of our gang......some of you will remember David Price (PriceyGolfnut on here)?
Yet another Jarrow lad!
He's still around and very busy with his own music career. Last time you'd have seen him was at the 2010 do at Leicester.
According to David, Alan Price is STILL a miserable git!!
James got me thinking about some of my favourite music.....and as well as the soul music & rock...I love classic old songs from Italian opera.
I think my grandparents played Mario Lanza music too much when I was a young 'un.
Here's a typical Italian masterpiece:
While we're on about entertainment.........
ReplyDeleteA lot of people have asked if we could have a cabaret at next summer's Leicester bash.
Sounds like a good idea, and Terry has suggested we stage something like this:
I have three 'volunteers' already press-ganged into the job
John, Mike & Keith tell me they are DEFINITELY UP FOR IT!
What ya fink, ladies?
Well I did do the London Naked bike ride last year George.
ReplyDeleteDuck has the pic.
DOES SHE REALLY?????????????????
ReplyDeleteLA DUCK? Where art thou?
And more importantly...why hasn't Keith's photo been given MASSIVE exposure on here???
and now for some real music!
ReplyDeleteIf this doesn't touch your heart and affect you emotionally .........
Just luv Ennio Morricone's music James.....thanks
ReplyDeleteGeorge that guy singing 'shuddup your face',i think was Australian......& i seem to remember it kept that 'Vienna' number by Ultravox off the number 1 postion, which pissed off so many people....except me...........pmsl....
ALARM CLOCK.........makes you think.!!!?
