Bev / Ian, how are you ?

Morning Chris.....glad you had a good time....
ReplyDeleteI wondered if George had a ciggy or a thermometer in his mouth re- that brolly pic.!!!!......LOL
& not to forget also its....
I must apologise unreservedly for the crap weather throughout the month of June and now into July - it's all down to me having my op in the tail end of May and thus being off work since. When I left work it was sunny, hot and very pleasant and I foolishly remarked how much of a tan I will have upon my return.
ReplyDeleteEither that, or it is purely down to the water companies, being over enthusiastic with the rain dances when they announced a hose pipe ban!
Morning all xx Thank you Chris & Shirley for dropping in last evening. It was really great to have a chat and see you both xx
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that our 'Inimitable Geordie George' is whacked out on prescription meds.....makes a change eh George ?! LMAO !
Which reminds me. I wonder if 'The Lucky 13 Club' have any T-Shirts printed, as well as their 'Kipling' badges ? Allister ? Any thoughts here ? :-)
James xx You are doing a George and coming before me....no Gents on here ladies !
ReplyDeleteThe weather/water theory is interesting, BUT [and I do still have a small one !] that don't account for the lashing, torrential rain in The Rebel County too dude ?
Thanks for the Friday giggles - just about to join a conference call and can't stop laughing!

ReplyDeleteJanet,
ReplyDeleteAt least someone has seen the sun today !
What would your usual midwinter be like ?
Ours is soggy, wet and very miserable. 13 deg at 09.30.
Chris.
Chris the average is around 12 to 13 in winter, we have had a lot of rain this summer but we tend to have nice sunny days in winter the tempriture does drop quite low at night, they say we are going to have drought weather again in summer but they never get it right, 19 forcast for tomorrow and sunny roll on spring x
ReplyDeleteJanet,
ReplyDeleteDid you get to see the "Tribute to Elise", if not if you email me , chrishirley.butcher@hotmail.com I'll email one, it is gorgeous and so well written.
So your weather isn't normal either then, we were in drought, the powers that be put in a hosepipe ban and it more or less hasn't stopped raining since !
Thank's chris I read it on LOL, I had a chat with my son yesterday he lives in Poole and he said the weather was dreadfull and Mum is in Bradford and she said allthough it wasnt to cold she had had enough of the rain x
ReplyDeleteHiya Janet......My cousin in Newcastle NSW, has now downsized,& bought a lovely apartment on Lake Macquarie,& e.mailed me last week, that the cardi (cardigan) was getting a good workout of late,& she was thinking of putting on socks in the evening as its a bit chilly.!!!!!......Poor you eh living in Oz in Winter.!!!!!.....wish we could maintain a 19C+,& lose this incessant wind & rain as its mid Summer here.....
ReplyDeleteRegards to you & Derek..
John & Val..xx
John I have the electric blanket on at 9oclock Derek said my feet are like ice blocks lol, supprising how quick you get used to the hot weather not sure i could cope with the weather back home in Yorkshire now :-)
ReplyDeleteMy friend works for Anglian Water (one of the companies who announced a hosepipe ban) and was chatting to him last night. Normally the reservoirs on a really good summer (for them not us) are at best are around 75% full at this time of year, currently they are 98% full. If it continues raining during summer and we have a wet winter, they'll be releasing water into the rivers etc as opposed to saving.
