And Friendship ends.. when you stop Sharing
.......CHEERS ALL!!!
Morning everyone!
ReplyDeleteJust placed my one and only annual bet on the 'Grand National'.
Picked a horse in the usual way (pin).
Oh dear!!
As I left bookies discovered he has a MAJOR handicap.
Doesn't like water and afraid of the water jump!!
But I live in hope.
Good luck there Mike ! You never know in the National xx
ReplyDeletePicked mine.!....
ReplyDeleteBit of a dark horse by all accounts.!!!!!
Tomorrow is the very first reverse role race....!!!!?
pmsl
And at the end of a tiring working day.........
Mike, isn't there a horse called Sea Bass, ridden by the woman jockey Katy Walsh, sister of Ruby Walsh?
ReplyDeleteWORTH A FLUTTER!!.
I'm having a quiet day recuperating from my near-death experience yesterday.
Elise was right.....it was most definitely a South Shields muff which did the damage.
They really are dangerous when cornered!
In fact, South Shields muffs have been infamous for many years.
That Sunderland 'Punk' band John mentioned, The Toy Dolls, even produced a hit record (dedicated to them in 1970).
You must have heard it?......
"MUFF TOWN GIRLS"
Billy Joel (and Westlife, I think) both tried to do cover versions, but they lacked the sheer vigour and ferocity of the original track.
By the way John...............cracking pictures today mate! Love 'em!!
My grand national hourse is 150/1. He should cross the line next week.
ReplyDeleteBev
Another song by the Toy dolls
There is muffin' like a dame
Ian
Two for the price of one today xx
Here comes Muffin the ass ('oops, sorry, wrong end)
ReplyDeleteIan
Val has been to the Bookies & backed 15 horses in that race,& not one is Sea Bass.......huh!.
ReplyDeleteOff to local footie..........catch up later.!....
'The is nothing like muffin like a dame'??????
ReplyDeleteAnd did Bev tell you this, Ian? HERESY!!!
You really shouldn't listen to her!! LMAO
Well, Katy Walsh did well to finsh third in the national. 8/1 wasnt good odds though, even for an each-way flutter.
