Rest Easy Grant

We have lost a fine man, and a true gentleman.

I am devastated for Sandra, and all the family that now face life without Grant.

Grant. Your kindness and generosity of spirit has touched us all.

You will be greatly missed by all of us.

My deepest condolences to Sandra. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Rest easy dearest friend.

  6. I don't know what to say.

Grant has always been there for us. He even helped me get this site up and running.

There are precious few of those original Bollockeers left now.

Mike and I talked last night. We were both absolutely gutted, and we agreed...we felt as though a part of us had gone.
    This really hurts.

Grant, you were a true friend, a real gentleman - a kind, tireless supporter of every one of us who battle this damn disease.

You will NEVER be forgotten - and for those us left, we know our lives were made better by knowing you.

We will do our best to carry on the fight, but our hearts are broken today.

    Rest In Peace Dear Friend.
    We all loved you,

  11. Here are Grant's funeral arrangements (as provided by Mark on the PCC site).

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR GRANT MARTIN

Grant’s funeral will be held on Saturday, May 5th, at noon, at Mortlake
Crematorium, Kew Meadow Path, Townmead Road, Richmond TW9 4EN (020 8876
8056). There is plenty of parking there.

Afterwards Sandra and the family hope you will join them at Carvosso’s, 210
    Chiswick High Road, London W4 1PD (020 8995 9121). Parking is severely
limited on the High Road and side streets, so you may need to walk a little
    distance.

They request no flowers, but would be very happy if you feel able to
contribute to one or more of these charities via
    http://www.justgiving.com/remember/16946/Grant-Martin:

The Prostate Cancer Charity, whose work he supported as a volunteers

Meadow House Hospice, because since the team there became involved in his
care this year it has been a constant support, with frequent home visits and
    calls

Macmillan Cancer Support, which we have both supported for many years, and
whose palliative care team at Charing Cross Hospital ensured that his end
    was peaceful and comfortable

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will be there on behalf of the B2PCa site and to give Sandra all the love and support possible.

    Mike

We have said many prayers for Grant, and then when Elise texted me we then said our prayers for Sandra.

Rest in PEACE, Grant, we hope you will be looking down on us at Leicester this year.

  13. I shall be going to Grant's funeral on Saturday.

With me I am taking all the tributes to Grant posted on this site together with those on the PCC site and Elise's 'Ladies on Line' site.
These I will give to Sandra in the hope that she will look through them at sometime soon to see what great esteem Grant was held by all.
    Mike.
