G'day All,
VERY VERY LATE. 
Never in its history has Jorrow seen such grid-locked traffic.
Work is underway building a second road tunnel under the River Tyne. To date the only complaint from me has been our broadband connection sliced through a few times a week, cutting off the net, cable TV and phoneline. Bad enough, you may think...
BUT TODAY....Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeez... Work is now halting traffic, as one road after another is closed for construction work.
After a smooth journey to Sunderland and back with Khan for his vet appointment, we found traffic at a complete standstill - lasting from 2 pm till 6pm.
OK OK, I KNOW this pic is of Mumbai on a quiet day...
But this is definitely what Jarrow looked like this afternoon
Here's hoping for a stress free weekend ahead for us all.

George,I found the reason for the traffic snarl up in Jarrow,,this was just on the local news,,it broke down on the high street blocking the main single track road!,,Lamp lighting will be late tonight!
