No news yet on Mark.
This is a terrible time for him, Debs, the girls, and all his family and friends.
Personally, I didn't know whether I could have the heart to post here today, but I remembered a conversation with Mark earlier this year.
Throughout everything he has endured over the past four years he NEVER lost his sense of humour and optimistic attitude.
When I expressed grave doubts as to whether 'Bollocks To Pca' could carry on after losing nine of our good friends in just 12 months, he quickly put me right.
He said BOLLOCKS TO PCa MUST CONTINUE, blowing raspberries at the illness and at some of the idiotic doctors we come across.
Mark was adamant that B2PCa would live on...this site, and all our get-togethers, long after some of us old gits had gone.
He gave me the kick up the arse to grit my teeth and carry on.
In Mark's words..."We Gotta Continue Talking A Load Of Bollocks!"

Mark?
WE SALUTE YOU!
WE SALUTE YOU!
Here's something which might tickle you all....a TRUE story (Thanks Terry!!).
ReplyDeleteHi George,
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to the familes who have lost someone so loved on this site. I also count blessings we are not in the same boat.
You have no idea how this site kept me smiling during the darker days earlier on,and gave me strength. laughter and advise
You must feel so downhearted,,,but must carry on,,,,so much friendship and love here.
Love to all
Margaret and of course Brian,xxx
Margaret, very true words, life goes on, we must carry on for the benefit of all the other bollockeers.
ReplyDeleteA funny that came in last night.
I've been in many places, but I've never been in Cahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone.
You have to be in Cahoots with someone.
I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there
I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there.. I have made several trips there, thanks to my friends, family and work.
I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.
I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.
I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.
Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.
One of my favourite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!
I may have been in Continent, and I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing.
PLEASE DO YOUR PART!
Today is one of the many National Mental Health Days throughout the year.
You can do your bit by remembering to send a message to at least one unstable person.
My job is done!
Life is too short for negative drama & petty things. So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
From one unstable person to another.... I hope everyone is happy in your head - we're all doing pretty good in mine!
Remembering your age.....I have tried to send this in larger print
Bev, How is Ian ?
ReplyDeleteHi guys, Ian is doing well and the test went well yesterday with relief all round as they only found inflammation secondary to brachy. I feel bad posting good news today.
ReplyDeletex
Bev, Very pleased for the good news, we like good news, it proves that some treatment is working !
ReplyDeleteSend Ian our best wishes please.
Thanks for posting George
ReplyDeleteYes keep going - Mark would expect nothing else from fellow bollockteers. We honour him by keeping our sense of humour even in our darkest days. It is to be hoped that one day someone will publish some of his writings as they are a wonderful reminder of a thoughtful man we have been bleesed to know.
Sending much love to all of our irreverent friends today.
Allison and John xxxx
Good news about Ian's cystoscopy, Bev. We DO like good news.
ReplyDeleteMargaret & Brian, Chris and Shirley, Allison & John, thanks for the thoughts on carrying on in defiance.
I'm sure we'll all do our best:

Evening all xx Still no word about Mark xx Just praying that he comfortable, peaceful and surrounded by Debs and the family. My tears continue, but I suppose that is to be expected...
ReplyDeleteI am off this weekend, and a mountain of domestic chores await me. Anyone willing to kidnap a Lil' Duck and whisk her away somewhere stunning with 24/7 room service ?!
Quack Quack guys, love you all xx
George ? I only want these photos in the B2PCa album on here please. Thank you. I have yet to upload to the PB album, but I want to sort them out first. All things considered, I thought these were very apt, and memories of a wonderful day with a wonderful guy xx Love you Mark xx

Great photos, thanks John xx we had a great weekend didn't we ? xx
ReplyDeleteFROM GRAHAME TONIGHT:
ReplyDeleteHi George,
I registered on the site after the trip to Leicester - I'm Rainman - although my post yesterday was the first as I really just wanted to read what Mark was saying (Particularly his 'Death, what do ya all know about Death') as I had heard so many good reports on it from the attendees.
He has had a quiet day, dozing in and out, whilst talking to Deb and the girls.
He is not in pain which is good as he has suffered, quietly, with all sorts of back/leg problems recently.
Kind regards.
Grahame Lovett
Elise, I'll add those to the album here tomorrow. Grrrrrrreat photos!
ReplyDeleteUmmmm......... didn't quite have 24/7 room service though.......
ReplyDeletebut i like your style.....
pmsl xx
And how about THIS for a great photo?
ReplyDeleteKeith responded to my taunt about the naked tandem pair.
Remember when he told us he took part in a 'NAKED BIKE RIDE' last year?
I thought he was kidding.
HE WASN'T
Strewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwth!!!
Bet you are impressed with my £2000 mountain bike!
ReplyDeleteAs Lynn Eyre says the op does lose you a inch at least. Still, good job the handlebars are covering my modesty.
Strewwwwwwwwwwth from me to,but have to admire you matey.......See you at least was able to raise a smile Keith.!!!
ReplyDeleteI bet riding over a gritty surface was "interesting" given that the bike had no rear mudguard.
ReplyDeleteGives a whole new meaning to the engineering phrase "discovered new crack during grit blasting".
Well, you've succeeded so far! There seems no reason to suppose you'll collectively come to your senses at this late stage. Thank goodness I am relatively sane and relatively unaffected by what I can only put down to as Mad Cow Disease. Or should that be Mad Duck Disease?
ReplyDeleteHey Keith xx I am well impressed ! xx
ReplyDeleteTerry ? You have a LONG way to go before you start suffering from 'Mad Duck Disease' !! Of course, George always had a 'head' start on you....LMAO ! Quack Quack ! xx
The idea of a duck giving head really does my head in, I gotta say. I thought Georges' problems was more related to Crazy Sheep disease - or is it Mad Lamb?
ReplyDeleteMind is BOGGLING here!
ReplyDeletePMSL
Terry ? Didn't George ever tell you that I am the 'Head Duck ' on here ??!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ROFLMDAO !!
ReplyDeleteLMAO, Elise is the Head Duck, my Urologist is the world's biggest DICK HEAD (geeez, I hope those 2 never meet up!!)..and I'm just a NUTTER!
