Saturday: Good Morning

Good Morning Good People

Another hot but dark day in Geordieland after more torrential rain last night

So.....today I'm definitely starting work on my ARK.

But seriously, I may not be back on site till Tuesday.
I'm off to Hertford  tomorrow lunchtime and don't expect to get home from Mark's funeral
until midnight on Monday.
It's a desperately sad occasion that none of us expected so soon and so suddenly.
I'll say it again....Mark really was a hero and it's not a word I use lightly.
The world has lost a great human being.
We have lost a true friend.

What rain ??? Another stinking hot day, last night was too warm too, Monday weather should be OK.

Usual church day tomorrow, prayers for Debs, her Girls, family and ALL Mark's many friends on here and pcc.

  2. Having just got back from holiday and at last have proper access to the internet. Sad to hear of the news that a true gentleman, Mark, passed away. Never had the opportunity to meet him, that is my loss.

    A tribute to Mark.

The song is called "This is not the end" by Claire Maguire. It's one of those songs that you simply have to listen to the words to understand fully the beauty of the lyrics.

  3. Hi George,

Mark will be missed very much,by so many...
I will not be attending the funeral myself, but wish you,Mike,Chris,& anyone else attending,a very safe journey,& will be thinking of Mark & you all throughout this very sad time...

Just been reading the great Andy Ripley OBE.... "Just another story" blog on PCUK ...(under Life with Prostate Cancer thread)
& would just like to add his well known saying.......

    Dare we hope? We dare.

    Can we hope? We can.

    Should we hope? We must.

We must, because to do otherwise is to waste the most precious of gifts, given so freely by God to all of us. So when we do die, it will be with hope and it will be easy and our hearts will not be broken.

    Rest easy Mark....

  4. John,

That is a lovely post it says so much in so few words as to how we all should feel.

George, safe journey down to Mike's, are you driving , train or National Express ?

James, a good choice of song.

To those of you not coming to Mark's send-off we will be saying prayers on your behalf.
