Dear Maggy, my heart goes out to you. We are so blessed to have these wonderful men come into our life and it's so unfair when they are taken away. Life is never the same again. Take comfort in your memories. It helps me to think of the things Bob & I did. There's a book that has been very helpful, "Living When a Loved One Has Died" It's just a little book and I've read it over and over. It's exactly what I'm feeling and thinking. Like the book says, grief is love never ever saying goodbye. Take Care and you can email me anytime rek@windstream.net

What a beautiful message, Colleen, XXX.
ReplyDeleteI know Maggy gets all the posts, but she's trying to fathom out how to use this site, like many others.
Let's keep her in our thoughts today as it's the funeral service for Brian.
Dear Colleen,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your message. I will try to find a copy of the book you recommend- I need something as nothing seems to make much sense at the moment. I was trying to sort out the insurance on the cars today, and got the most compassionate young lad at Direct Line- he tried so hard to find me the right- and cheapest- option (for my normal car, and the MG that Bri and I bought together as a bit of fun)- as he delightfully put it- "I'm really sorry, it's complicated and I know your brain must seem mashed to bits at the moment- let me sort it out and ring you back". He did. Never again will I let people be dismissive of those working in call centres.
The funeral was awful, as expected.
Thanks again,
Maggy
