G'd Moaning Good Peeps
It's a second busy doc's appointment day for me today but before I dash off I must show you this note I've had from Phil, typed on his battered old pc. The computer virus he mentioned is a real nasty one. My daughter's pc was infested with the same type. So, be very careful, specially if you download music etc from sharing sites.
FROM PHIL:
My new laptop has been "Virused!!"partly my fault I guess,,I got what looked like a bona fide Security message from Microsoft had all the proper Microsoft authentication on it.
I had just got a new anti virus program and it was a warning box saying that my computer was at risk with insufficiant anti spyware and advising me to download Microsoft "Privacy centre"and scan.
Which I did came up with around 5202 security issues.
Asked me to pay $79 to purchase their anti spyware and clean infections etc..
Sounded iffy so of course I didn't,,,BUT the "Microsoft Privacy Centre"wouldnt close!!!,,,Only thing on the screen so I couldn't uninsall as I normally would.
Had to click the off button and reboot,,,,all that came up was the bloody "Microsoft Privacy Centre"box and it started scanning again automatically!
Fiddled on to no avail,took it to a puter guy I know and he said I was the third today with the same virus!!!takes him 4 hours to get rid of it!!!Had to leave it and he's looking at it tomorrow,,God knows what they charge!!
Anyway this old laptop is still wotking JUST as the lid is hanging off!LOL
In case I'm not online in the morning you will know why....
Let's hope he gets back soon.
