Dear All,
Today the Capn drives north to home, in the spanking new PINK Smart Car he won at Brighton.
And I travel south to bid Alex 'au revoir'....and it IS just an au revoir.
He's gone ahead to set up the a new branch of B2PCa and to keep our seats warm.
Bollockeers there for the send off today include Mike, Roger, Chris (Exbus) and his wife Shirley, Keith Cass and my personal chauffeur (Dick Dastardly - aka Paul/Denzel - picking me up from Doncaster station in his macho little red open-top roadster.
I do hope he realises he isn't taking part in 'Whacky Races' today.
(I've borrowed a full face crash helmet and stocked up with incontinence pads!!)
We'll tell you all when we return.
I'll be passing on to Pat all your personal warm wishes and fond memories of Alex.
See you tomorrow (I hope).
Thanks George.......Sorry i can't make it too,but will be with you all in spirit this afternoon......Please pass on our condolences to Pat.........................................

I have found today especially hard to deal with. Apart from the fact that I was at work, and REALLY did not want to be there. At 2pm, I dissapeared into the Oratory, and sat quietly for a few minutes. I was thinking back to only 4 weeks ago today. We were all at MOS, and Alex was in truly excellent form, and really enjoying himself. It was such an honour to finally meet him and Pat. It is all very unreal still, but I wish you strength for the days ahead, and a new, different life now without Alex.
ReplyDeleteRest in peace dearest Alex, you have always been a special friend, and will always remain so. If you get a bit bored in Heaven, then you might consider being my Guardian Angel....with George and Big Guy to deal with, I need all the help I can get my friend.
Love always
Elise
