Anyhow, I wondered if meditation would help and found this simple guide for a New Age Meditation.

Only problem I have is that I think I have a Microsoft mind and it might crash or freeze and where would that lead me (well, apart from up sh*t creek without a paddle?)
I don't see any mention of you, Terry, on the calender !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm only about a year and three quarters behind you !!!
Enjoy your sunshine today, its freezing here, forecast is an expected high of 1 C......
New Age Mediation (only one 't') is clearly something else altogether - either a public notary of 211 E Montauk Hwy Ste 4, Hampton Bays, NY 11946, or a Kindle book on "Healing Conflict - How to Manage Disputes and Resolve Conflict Through Higher Consciousness" by Arezou Kohan (which I suspect all us chaps could do with reading - if only there were a higher consciousness than that of a man!)
ReplyDeleteSunshine and blue sky in the West Country - but d*mned cold!
Geeeeeeeeeez, we're all into high-brow stuff today, aren't we?
ReplyDeleteThis won't do. The tone needs lowering fast!
Terry, IS YOUR BIRTHDAY 8th FEB?
Chris is right. We don't have you on the calendar.
Mind you, you definitely don't look 80! (OK OK, I'm kidding!)
If you've all got your incontinence pads on, take a look at this video I've received from a friend in Australia:
The best hidden camera prank ever made ????

One thing abut Terry, he's certainly game for a laugh.
ReplyDeleteHere's his exclusive video of his exercise regime at Melbourne Sea Life Centre:
I have posted a personal plea on the PCC forums about all the senseless squabbling.
ReplyDeleteI hope the moderators publish it.
FFS! I could stand by no longer and see all the values we cherished there being thrown down the drain.
OK...I did say I'd need to lower the tone here;
ReplyDeleteBut...ever so slightly! lol
Pauline has sent me this info below:
ReplyDelete(I'd love to have been able to go, but my oncology appointment is on the same day...DAMN DAMN DAMN!)

We are looking for 10 people in England to have lunch with their MP during our Parliamentary event in March to help gain their support for our quality care project.
We set up our quality care project to develop a national set of standards that outline the quality care that men with prostate cancer deserve – at every stage of their journey. We launched this project because we are disappointed by the government’s progress to properly set out the quality care that men should receive.
We want politicians to support this project - so we need your help. By coming to Westminster to talk about your experiences you will demonstrate how important it is for all men with prostate cancer to have access to the best possible care regardless of where they live. It is much more powerful for MPs to hear directly from people with experience of prostate cancer – so we really need your help.
To help you take part in this event we will hold a training day before the parliamentary event to explain the project and help you prepare what you want to say to your MP. We will also send you written information about the project in advance of the training that you can read at home.
If you would like to take part you will need to: •Be available to travel to central London on Tuesday, 13th March for a mid-afternoon briefing session. •Be available on the 14th March all day for a refresher session to go over the purpose and key messages of the event in the morning and attend the parliamentary event which will take place between 1pm and 3pm that day. •Commit time to carry out preparation for the event at home, including: •Reading the briefings that the Charity will provide and preparing some notes •Sending a letter or email to your MP to ask them to attend to meet you (we can help with this) •Working with us to arrange your travel and hotel accommodation if needed (we will pay for your travel and accommodation in line with the charity’s volunteer expenses policy)
•Be willing to talk to MPs about the charity’s quality care project in relation to your experience of prostate cancer.
We will support you to take part in this event by:
· Providing you with a detailed written briefing ahead of the event
· Providing draft letters to help you contact your MP to invite them to the event
· Providing a training session before the parliamentary event
· If you require an overnight stay to participate, we will provide accommodation. We will also reimburse reasonable travel expenses and provide assistance booking travel if you need it.
· Charity staff will facilitate the parliamentary event and will be on hand to support you and answer any questions or concerns you may have at any time.
We only have 10 places for this event, so if more people put themselves forward for this opportunity than spaces available we will need to choose participants to ensure we have a good regional spread of and a range of people with different experiences of prostate cancer.
If you would like to take part please contact Alexis Wieroniey, Senior Campaigns Officer on 0208 222 7173 or alexis.wieroniey@prostate-cancer.org.uk by Friday 10, February 2012.
In your email (or phone call) please include:
· Your name
· Where you live
· When you were diagnosed with prostate cancer
· What type of treatment(s) you have had (anyone who has not yet received treatment is also very welcome to take part – just let us know)
· How you happy you were with your overall prostate cancer care
We hope you’ll be interested in taking part.
Best wishes,
The Policy & Campaigns team
