Phil ain't kidding about Newcastle folks wandering drunk as skunks around the Bigg Market on feezing winter nights. The blokes wear shorts and football tops, and the women have micro-skirts, no knickers, and the skimpiest crop tops you ever saw.
Now back in my 'courting days' (Circa 1966) we had more bloody sense! LOL
