Good Morning/Evening fellow weekenders,
hissing down with rain here at the mo so my 10k run has been knocked on the head!
Not venturing far today,,,curry and cards tonite so I'm whipping up a bum burning Chicken and Tiger prawn Bhuna,,to give the opposition something more than poker to think about

A man, while playing on the front nine of a complicated golf course, became confused as to where he was on the course.
Looking around, he saw a lady playing ahead of him.
He walked up to her, explained his confusion and asked her if she knew what hole he was playing.
'I'm on the 7th hole,' she replied, 'and you are a hole behind me. So you must be on the 6th hole.'
He thanked her and went back to his golf.
On the back nine, the same thing happened and he approached her again with the same request.
'I'm on number 14, and you're still a hole behind, so you must be on the 13th hole.'
Once again he thanked her and returned to his play.
He finished his round and went to the clubhouse where he saw the same lady sitting at the end of the bar.
He asked the bartender if he knew the lady. The bartender said that she was a sales lady and played the course often.
He approached her and said, 'Let me buy you a drink in appreciation for your help. I understand that you're in the sales profession. I'm in sales also. What do you sell?'
'I'll tell you, but you're going to laugh,' she replied.
'No, I won't.'
'Well, if you must know,' she answered, I work for Tampax.'
With that, he laughed so hard he lost his balance and fell off the bar stool.
'See,' she said. 'I knew you'd laugh!'
'That's not what I'm laughing at,' he replied, 'I'm a salesman for Preparation H hemmorhoid cream so I'm still a hole behind you.'
It's a bit damp and grey here too....a bit like Phil's trousers? : )~

One of these days I'll post the BIG version of that. It's very educational, and you'd all appreciate it..... but I'd have to sneak it in to avoid the dreaded Photobucket Police!

ReplyDeleteAmazing photos show great detail. The pilot at low level had no control over his aircraft. It narrowly misses a crowd gathered for the air show and slams into four buildings. One can only imagine the horror of the occupants inside those buildings.
Probably scared the shit out of them.
Evening All. I dunno which blog to post on here???? Am liking the captions to your balloon Pic Big Guy......I'd certainly have to agree ! Well, its a VERY long story, and I am not happy. Basically, the shit has once again hit the fan here......after the grief of last week, it would appear that all my efforts have been in vain. We are at an impasse at work, and the situation has gone from serious to dire, in the last 3 days that I have been off. I believe that the Management are protecting this 'person' for reasons unbeknown to us. The only option that I see open, which will at least guarantee an independent, unbiased investigation/hearing is to call in an Independent Arbitrator, and see if they can wade through the whole sorry mess. I am running rapidly out of time here. The Boss leaves on 4th April. We will no longer then have his support in our complaint. We will no longer have him to act as 'buffer' between us and the Management. This has been going on since 18th January people, and I am mightily sick and tired of it all. It would appear that the Managers involved, are not following their own policies, nor their own disciplinary policies......what do I do here???? Despite having expert legal advice, which was of considerable help, we are no further forward. I am rambling here, and ranting, and for that I apologise. I am so stressed out at this point, I gotta wonder is it all worth it???? But I cannot let the girls down, and really, must see this through to the bitter end. The problem here is basically the Irish attitude, and it bloody sucks. They need a wake up call, so, unless they will participate, and see this through to the end, WITH arbitration, then I will contact my own personal solicitor, and take it all that one stage further. I had also put my own Union on hold, whilst various offers were considered, however, the management have renegade on their own offer......so, looks like its all back in play, I am back to square one, and I do not know when you will all hear from me again. So sorry Guys to dump all this on you. I needed to let off steam here, and you all drew the short straw....sorry.....Any advice, words of wisdom, or words of encouragement, would be gratefully, and whole heartidly accepted by me, as, at the moment, I ain't doing too good here...... :-((
ReplyDeleteEvening Elise,,sounds like you need a (((((((Elise)))))))......I think you have answered your own quesion "Having come so far you must see it thorugh to the bitter end",,,I think an Independent Arbitrator would be an excellent idea which neither side could object to(although no doubt the Management would!)

Thanks Big Guy. The Union can only represent me....the others never joined, despite my pleadings, so its only my part of the complaint they can deal with, not the whole sorry subject, hence, the IR to keep things looking, at least, independent and unbiased.
ReplyDeleteManagement made the offer, without consulting 'Matey'....We accepted the offer, 'Matey' refused....back to square one again......How can somebody, [allegedly] accused of sexual harassment, inapropriate behaviour, bullying and breach of confidentiality, POSSIBLY be protected by the Management here???? We are talking [potentially] vulnerable people at risk here.
If I did any of this, my ass would be out the door so fast, I'd be dizzy....no references, licence to practice as a Nurse revoked, no nothing. How come a 63 year old man can do all the above, AND still keep his job?????????????????????? I do not understand this one at all.
Thanks again for letting me moan......Unfortunately, I am at work on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, so no escape for the Duck.......I am starting to moult....... :-((
The Glenlivet was good last night though, might have a snifter or 20 tonight again !!!!!!

Just read your woes.!!?...What a mess Elise,& sorry this is still not resolved..An Independent Arbitrator,would be excellent,but i'm worried the Management might stick this one out,hoping you will fold...If they are not taking diciplinary action on your allegations,against this man,it don't bode well.!?..i hope i'm wrong.or not reading it properly..

Hi John....You have hit the nail on the head.....an impasse......[A] We withdraw the complaint, he returns with no action taken....we end up being targetted [B] We continue on, still nothing is done, he returns to work....we are targetted...... [C] He returns to work, other inappropriate behaviours occur....where do we stand with regard future complaint/s
