The curse of the rugrats has struck me..
AGAIN!
Now I know why I dread the grandkids invading en masse - I'm scared of them!!
Those crawling, toddling, walking little 'germ factories' have left me flattened by bugs.
I need a warm bed, a warm drink, and perhaps two even warmer nurses to get me through the next few days. Any offers??

ReplyDeleteThat nurse in the bottom photo is the matron, Agnes Skelly, who was in charge of my mother's training when mam was a young nurse in the 1940s.
I still shudder when I remember the horror stories my ma told us all.
The nurse in the top pic is was the matron's sister Cecilia (or it might have been Chlamydia).
They were both Irish, both spinsters, both had been excommunicated from the Catholic Church (for hideous offences during their time as nuns) and their sole purpose in life was to inflict PAIN! (a bit like Madam Bev??, LMAO)
Oh yep...I feel so much better now, doh!
