  1. It WAS a great afternoon, did a lot of talking and listening, of course.

As John says, it was great to meet so many between Leicester does.

Thanks again Grant and Sandra for the organising, How much food was left ????

Got home about 21.15, not bad for busses, longest wait was bedford, 30 mins.

  2. Hi Chris,
Good to put a face to names yesterday, although i have met before most who attended ......kept nibbling the left overs, but eventually as numbers dwindled to six, they took the leftovers away....
Biggest wait back was at Victoria, with a points delay at Clapham, that delayed us 30 odd mins, but back indoors by 11pm.
My camera phone is not up to much.......Hope others have better pics ..

    H.T. injections (Degarelix) beckons now.........ouch.!

  5. Thanks John, and Mike.....I have your photos. Now all I have to do is get them sorted and posted here (when my brain clicks in to gear).

John's a lucky bugger with a nurse like that. You saw who dealt with my little prick (ooooops, did I really say that??) on Monday didn't you? Argggggghhhh

    Hey, WELL DONE SHEENA xxxx

She posted the Wednesday greeting when we were away...and It's a cracker, lol

So good...I'll have to post it here again today:

THINGS YOU CAN ONLY SAY AT CHRISTMAS

    1. I prefer breasts to legs.
    2. Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist.
    3. Smother the butter all over the breasts.
    4. If I don't undo my trousers I'll burst.
    5. I've never seen a better spread.
    6. Are you ready for seconds yet.
    7. I'm in the mood for a little dark meat.
    8. It's a little dry, do you still want to eat it ?.
    9. Just wait your turn, you'll get some.
    10. Don't play with your meat.
    11. Stuff it up between the legs as far as it will go.
    12. Do you think you will be able to handle all those people.
    13. I didn't expect everyone to come at the same time.
    14. You still have a little bit on your chin.
    15. How long will it take after you put it in ?.
    16. You'll know exactly when it pops up.
    17. Just pull the end and wait for the bang.
    18. That's the biggest bird I've ever had.
    19. I'm so full I've been gobbling nuts all morning.
    20. Wow, I didn't think I could handle that and still want more.

In fact, it deserves a cartoon:

  6. Hi Folks,

All the photos in so far are now in ALBUMS (here...see homepage) and on the special PHOTBUCKET B2PCa FUNCTION SITE at:

    http://s798.photobucket.com/home/Bollocks2PCa

You'll need the usual password for that second site....b2pca123

    Look for 'recent albums' there.

John, I'm sorry I wasn't able to enlarge your phone photos. The resolution was a bit too small. But they're good ones all the same...THANKS!

  7. George, You seemed to feature in a disproportionate number of the ;pictures I thought. Was this because you were the life and soul of the party or smply a matter of selection??

But it certainly looked a happy time for all. Years ago when I ran a support group in South Africa, a young lade came to a meeting because her father had been diagnosed. It wa a free for all meeting with no speaker, where we talked about any issues. There was the usaul banter and a lot of laughter. During the meeting this young lady said she had a question. It was "How many of you men have actually been diagnosed with prostate cancer." Roars of laughter from all to the chorus "We all have." One by one we went around the room introducing ourselves with a brief summary of our diagnosis. She said to me afterwards that the experience had been so uplifting and that it ruly demonstrated that, as our motto had it:

THERE IS A LAFE AFTER A PCA DIAGNOSIS.

    Good on yer all!!

  8. Hey Terry,

Nah, you can't blame me for the over-kill on Ug Mug Geordie photos.......'Twasn't me who took most of the photos that day.

Personally, I think all those soft souherners were so amazed that I'd travelled that huge distance from the frozen north without a Parka that they needed photographic evidence to show their mates!, lol

And you're so right about PCa get-togethers. Nobody else in that pub would have guessed we all had cancer.
They probably thought we were on a day trip from a care home for the 'Elderly and Mentally Infirm'.

They were right - of course!
