BATTERN DOWN THE HATCHES.
DIG OUT THE GLOVES AND SCARVES.
For some of you, dig out the snowboots,
some of you are already using them !
I see the "email" icon has crept back in again on the right !!
IF YOU CAN, GOOD PEOPLES, ENJOY WHATEVER TODAY BRINGS YOU.
Bloody windy here on the Fens this morning.
ReplyDeleteI really could do with some shutters on my windows but on the other hand I'd rather put up with the cold and wind than be naff!
p.s. Just love the photos from the London get together and some are just begging for humerous comments to be added.
Goooooood Moaning from Costa Del Tyneside.
ReplyDeleteGood mooning Wodger (keep yer hands off my shutters!!)
What's all this about bad weather, Chris?
The guys in Newcastle are out in their Bermuda shorts and Hawaiian shirts....the girls are wearing their usual 10" mini skirts, 12" killer heels, and skimpy tops (complete with 'chicken fillets'.
But,,,,they're all BARMY in Newcastle, thank God I don't live there, lol
I must apologise for posting that gross photo of Dogging John yesterday. I wish I had never found it on that website.
From all the emails I've received, It's obvious that he scared the wits out of most of the ladies here, and ALL of the men.
Last night I got no sleep at all. I was being chased through dark woods by naked & rabid Sherbert!!
Elise? You said it frightened you? Geeeez, it terrified me......I don't think I'll ever sleep again, and I will NEVER visit the gents' loo at the same time as John at any of our functions!!
here is THE ONLY Xmas advert Bollockeers !
ReplyDeleteSee the evidence below !
BEAUTIFUL picture of you and the leprachauns plus the RED NOSE TRUCK.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting, Shirley will be envious !!!! xxxxxxXXXXXX
Hi Chris xx I love the Coca Cola Xmas Trucks ! That truck [Number 1 Truck BTW] was cleaner than my bloody house ! That is something, as ALL the vehicles here are two tone mud colored here all the time. It was good to see it though. Hope Shirley speaks to me in June now ! xx
ReplyDeleteWHAT A FABULOUS PHOTO!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's one to treasure, Elise XXX
And THIS is the only song that will do for Elise (and me, by the way, lol) today!
ReplyDeleteShirley says she doesn't hold grudges !!! She goes nuts when she sees Yankie trucks, when we were in Canada, she took photos of all she saw, then broke her camera.
ReplyDeleteI'll try to print it out for her. (when I work out how) xxxx
I used to drive trucks when I was younger, so it is rather a treat to see
the big boys (do you watch the Ice Truckers?) , then I progressed to
coaches, carrying people (could have done without the people!!! they
can be a real pain at times, especially on the buses, which I endured for 18 months!) Now I struggle to drive my car, if it wasn't for the other traffic......... Shirley xxxxx
Oh god Shirley xx James is mad about 'IRT' He even watched the series when they were doing all that mad driving in India....that was scarey ! I do love the Coca Cola Trucks though. That was the day before we headed home for dads funeral. I was so pleased that I had made the effort. I also loved the film 'Convoy'....now that's a blast from the past !
ReplyDeleteGeorge xx yes, that is my ultimate favorite Xmas song ! How well you remembered ! See, the noggin is still doing good ! xx
Since it's the time of year for giving,
ReplyDeleteI've ordered two sets of those 'Dual Tena' pants (speciallydesigned too!!)
One pack is on its way to Stourbridge, the other to Lincolnshire.
I AM SOOOOOO KIND!! lol
Hey Chris & Shirely? Have you any photos of you both in your coach driving days?
I'd love to be able to post some in the members' album here.
Hey George ? What about me ? You PROMISED that you would bring a pair to London for us both to slip into....I am gutted..... :-( xx
ReplyDeleteLil' Darlin Duck...I'm keeping our 'extra special summer' ones for June 29th and 30th.... : )~
ReplyDeleteHey.........I quit those dreadful casodex 150 tablets yesterday so there'll be no chance of our combined boob dimensions keeping us apart and spoing the fun!! ROFLMAO
Here's a message from SPURS FAN MARK.....
ReplyDeleteIs he trying to make the rest of us feel inadequate?......or is he just into chickens??? LOL
Sorry Guys xx I have seen another post on PCC forum from Rachelt, her husband Alan has lost the battle. When will this stop ? I really am struggling here now xx
ReplyDeleteAnd just before Christmas too.
ReplyDeletePlease send our condolences to Rachel, Elise. xxxxx ALREADY BEEN ON PCC AND DONE MESSAGE.
Unfortunately it never will, sweetheart, as far as I can see it is a dead end, whether it is a year or years, the end comes to us all eventually ! Fortunately more men die WITH it than OF it
George, if we manage to find any photos, I'll try to scan them. Why stop the "casodex" ??
Read Alan's Bio.....he had been fighting this for about 5 years....R.I.P
ReplyDeleteAgree what you say Chris, but for some it can be a very short existence after pca diagnosis....
i was given 18 months, but thankfully still feeling o.k.,but my psa is rising now,so though still positive
its having its effects.......Val is having counselling now, after being off sick as she worries,& they (employers)
arranged an independent counsellor for her .......it seems more & more employees are taking this route
Yes, John, and the casualties seem to be getting younger, and with very high PSA at first diagnosis which is the culprit, as I see it.(read the bio of the reply after mine as well)
ReplyDeleteMy next PSA test is early Jan, I expect to be up, but I hope below 2, we shall see.
I shall have to read up your bio, John, I realised when Shirl had her Breast C, that it is always the loved ones who find it the hardest. xxxxx to Val.
I'm so sorry to hear about Alan, and we PCa men all fear the loss that Rachel is now suffering.
ReplyDeleteThe thought of our beloved wives/partners being left behind is far greater than our fear of the cancer has ever been.
Rest now Alan, our fellow warrior. You had a long and brave fight.
As for we Bollockeers, the show and the fight goes on.
We mourn a loss and vow to carry on regardless.
This is the only forum where we dare to mock our great enemy. Bollocks to damn PCa.
Chris, you asked about my stopping Casodex 150?
Well...the side effects were becoming too much....to the point where it was obvious I was suffering from interstitial lung disease, and my body told me it was time to take action.
I rang my oncologist and he said it's OK for me to 'watch and wait' for a while. Next time we meet we'll discuss other options.
George, Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteJohn, I can see why Val is worried.
We wait and see, the show goes on, each day we take as it comes, and any other comments one can think of. It is still a b......d disease. B B B B B. 2 PCa.
Well, we are just off out to our Xmas Quiz night..............the show goes on & i certainly do stick two fingers up to this pca
ReplyDeleteCatch yer later....
Guys xx what can I say here that hasn't been said already ? I will always be here, helping however I can, when I can for all of you. That is all that I can do. Keep well please xx
ReplyDeleteInterestong about Casodex and side effects - I started last week, adding it to Zoladex to see if that had any effect on by 15.5 and rising PSA. I didn't have many SE with Zoladex and, touch wood, so far have very few with Casodex. Hope it's working but........
ReplyDeleteTerry xx lets hope you don't get any. Also depends on which strength you are on xx
ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten the dual strength doses. We use the 50 mg dose - the only one approved by the FDA in the USA, not the 150 gm dose that was rejected - but is still used.
ReplyDeleteStill the 50mg and 150mg this side of the planet Terry. the 150mg dose is the crippler though. Ask George. Hopefully, you will be fine though. Usually, the 50mg gives mainly fatigue. If the Zoly hasn't given you any problems, then you should be okay. Keep an eye on things xx
