FRIDAY: BUSHED!

G'day All,

VERY VERY LATE.

Never in its history has Jorrow seen such grid-locked traffic.

Work is underway building a second road tunnel under the River Tyne. To date the only complaint from me has been our broadband connection sliced through a few times a week, cutting off the net, cable TV and phoneline. Bad enough, you may think...

BUT TODAY....Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeez... Work is now halting traffic, as one road after another is closed for construction work.

After a smooth journey to Sunderland and back with Khan for his vet appointment, we found traffic at a complete standstill -  lasting from 2 pm till 6pm.

OK OK, I KNOW this pic is of Mumbai on a quiet day...

But this is definitely what Jarrow looked like this afternoon

Here's hoping for a stress free weekend ahead for us all.

BE GOOD!!

Fridaaay going bush!

on another warm and sunny day,,,If this weather continues I may borrow one of George's Sarongs that he does his shopping in to keep cool.,any more native habits and I will be accused of going "bush!"

Tried erecting my hammock yesterday which went ok till I tried to get in, when it rotated so fast with me in it that I ended up wrapped like a cocoon!

Hope you're enjoying the weather and are set for a great weekend,

Cheers.

And it's time you all had a good groan!!..............................................

Bellringer
Following the death of Quasimodo, the Bishop of the Cathedral Church of Notre Dame sent word throughout the streets of Paris that a new bell ringer would need to be appointed. The Bishop decided that he would himself conduct the interviews and went up into the belfry to interview the candidates. After observing several applicants demonstrate their skills, he decided to call it a day, when an armless man approached him announcing that he was there to apply for the post.

The Bishop declared, "My Son, you have no arms!"

"No matter," replied the man as he proceeded to strike the bells with his face, producing the most beautiful melody on the carillon. The Bishop was astonished, believing he had indeed found a suitable replacement for Quasimodo. However, in rushing forward to strike a bell, the armless man tripped and plunged headlong out of the belfry to his death in the street below. The Bishop, stunned rushed down to his side. When he reached the street, a crowd had gathered around the fallen figure, drawn by the beauty of the music they had heard a moment before. As they parted in silence to allow the Bishop through, one in the crowd asked, "Bishop, who was this man?"

"I don't know his name," replied the Bishop sadly, "but his face rings a bell."

And there’s more …

The following day, despite the sadness that weighed heavily on his heart, the Bishop continued his interviews for a bell ringer.

The first man to approach addressed him, "Your Grace, I am the brother of the poor armless man who fell to his death from this belfry yesterday. I pray that you will allow me to replace my brother."

The Bishop agreed to an audition but as the man reached to strike the first bell, he groaned, clutched at his chest, collapsed and died on the spot. Two monks, hearing the cries of grief from the Bishop at the tragedy, rushed up the stairs.

“What has happened? Who is this man?" They cried.

"I don't know his name," exclaimed the distraught Bishop “but he's a dead ringer for his brother.”

Just before the thunderstorms arrived, I met up with some old friends.

And here's me thinking my baaaad old days were over!

Good Morning/Evening fellow hotties,,,set to be another tar melter to day!

Not venturing far from the fridge and garden today as I lap up the last hot one before the rain moves in.

Two gay men were visiting the zoo, when they found themselves at the gorilla cage. The gorilla was sitting there with a huge erection. Unable to contain himself the first gay reaches inside the cage to touch the huge member,,. As soon as his arm goes into the cage the gorilla grabs him, takes him into the cage, slams him on the floor and rogers him senseless.

A few days later in hospital the first gay's boyfriend visits him and said, "Does it hurt?"
"Hurt? Hurt?" cries the princess , "Of course it hurts. He hasn't phoned, he hasn't written........!"

Olympic Condoms
-------------------------

A man is out shopping and discovers a new brand of Olympic condoms. Clearly impressed, he buys a pack.
Upon getting home, the man informs his wife of his new purchase.

Olympic condoms?, she asks, What makes them so special?

There are three colors, he replies, Gold, Silver
and Bronze.

What color are you going to wear tonight? she asks cheekily.

Gold of course, says the man proudly.

The wife responds, Really, why dont you wear Silver? It would be nice if you came second for a change

Wednesday, where's that sun?

G'd moaning all

Well, I hope Phil found some sun further down this east coast yesterday.

We saw no sunshine till about 8pm last night ~ BLOODY CLOUD AND MIST!

Doesn't make us feel optimistic about Sunderland Air Show later this month.

A certain bird fancier from Teesside sent this, so I hope the photo  appears here:

How important is Eye Makeup?? Ladies, the best way to attract a man is with your eyes. ?That's why it's so important to have your eye makeup perfectly applied. ?Remember, if it weren't for the excellent application of proper eye makeup this young lady probably wouldn't get a second look from most guys...  ?

YEAH.....RIGHT!!!
