Goodbye For Now Phil

Dear Friends,
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to post this news.

Phil Clarke, one of our original members here, and a lovely guy known and loved by so many of us, passed away peacefully at home yesterday,
Saturday 29th September



Another good man, gone far too early, far too young after fighting so bravely for over seven long years.


REST IN PEACE PHIL

G'd afternoon Folks

Bloody 'ell,  I've lost almost two days.

Never mind, once I can stop shaking and sweating
(hopefully in the next few hours)
I'll be able to catch up with things on here.

There are THREE important tasks to get on with.

1) I'll be sending you emails about DEC 5th in London. It's time to order the finger buffet and to ask for some dosh (£9). That has to be in by the end of October. It's a substantial selection of mainly hot snacks. I've chosen the same menu Grant used last December, and we did have a load of food available then.

2) Its time to send out invites to the new blog site.

3) Believe it or not, it's also time to send out the first group email about the Leicester (The Mill On the Soar) function on SATURDAY 29th JUNE 2013.
Gotta have those numbers in well ahead of time.

Do you think I'll get all that done today? Ermmmmmmm...probably not.
But where's there's a pulse, there's a good chance it will all be done over this weekend.

Hey....Is anyone else suffering wild gusts of wind this morning? (PLEASE DON'T MENTION MY DIET!!)

Seriously..it's blowing a bloody gale here. I may have to put on a hair-net if I go out, lol.

Thursday: Bugged..... again!

The rugrats have been back to school for only a few weeks
and germ warfare has returned with a vengeance.
The little 'buggers' have got me good and proper...again!

Looking at TV news, it looks like a lot of us have suffered floods these past few days

Tyneside has been hit badly (again!)



But the good news is....

IT'S STOPPED RAINING HERE!




The bad news is...

Apparently not everyone is happy.

Val tells me that John hasn't been well these past few days.


He saw the doctor yesterday and hopefully will have some pain relief now.
I know he's due for a scan today, so here's wishing him the very best of outcomes.

I've been trying to post here since 10.30am without being able to actually finish a posting, duh!

My only remedy seems to be to walk away from the 'puter,
 have a smoke (or three) and come back and try later!

I was out walking my puppy one day,

when he accidentally fell into the frigid water.

 

WITHOUT HESITATION,

A GERMAN TOURIST JUMPED INTO THE FREEZING WATER

AND SAVED MY PRECIOUS LITTLE DOG.

 

BACK ON THE BRIDGE,

HE CHECKED MY PUPPY OUT AND TOLD ME, 

"ZE DOG IS OK.  HE VILL BE FINE."

 

Due to his selfless heroic act, I ASKED,

"ARE YOU A VET?"

 

 

HE REPLIED, "VET?! I'M VUCKING ZOAKED!"

Our mornings on 'Bollocks' have never been the same again.
Everyone who knew him loved him,
and I lost my terrible twin,

The best friend I ever had.
