  1. Good morning all, and GOOD MORNING JOHN BOY! (Glad to see you posting and hope you're well).

Thanks everyone for the great posts yesterday.

I'm still 'run off my feet', yesterday was a marathon day of travel and chores, and today is my onco appointment.

I'd just like to say, that I know some of you are currently worrying about scans and other results, and I feel for you all.
It's a bloody nightmare waiting for news.

Today I must admit that my own appointment is a crucial one. I gotta get it right!

Monday was a bit of a 'Blue Monday' all round it seems.
I had so many texts and calls with bad news.

We must promise ourselves to FORGET all our worries for a few days, and have the party of a lifetime at The Mill on Friday and Saturday!

  2. PS. John? Where did you find that old 70s photo of me with the wild hair and 'Zapata' tash? lol

  3. Good news from my meeting yesterday, NHS WILL let me have some pads, double what I asked for !! (2 a day)
Don't know when they will come though.

I think it's the waiting for results that is nasty, so unnecessary. That is ONE thing I miss from France, YOU go home with the result, scans and x-rays, and blood tests within 2 or 3 days. If they can do it why not NHS.

  5. Yeah John,

That really was me! ....nah..................Actually, I looked even dafter back in the 70s.

Typical...a ciggie in my hand as usual.

Don't ask me what a half-naked drunken Scotsman was doing in the picture! lol

Well, I had a very good onco appointment today, and got everything I requested...even a referral to my local hospice (as an out-patient) so that I can at least get some answers there next time there's three months till my oncology appointment and my specialist nurse is off injured (I was NOT responsible, honestly).

Another MRI has been arranged, and I'll also have a Dexa scan for the first time since 2007.
All in all, a worthwhile day today.

Meanwhile, I'm still feeling like a knackered old git! (SHADDUP girls!)
